Almacen Secreto is a truly clandestine restaurant where the address is only given when you call to make a reservation. Once you know of its location you will on arrival be greeted by a waft of freshly baked empanadas and beef jerky. Perhaps the reason why the address tries to remain a secret is because it is in the house of a fine chef from Salta (Maria Morales) who fears an unruly influx of customers if word spread too far of her fine cooking skills. You can choose to dine in the ornate garden or on the ground floor of the house; either way, due to its small size, the experience will be undoubtedly intimate and homely. The food options are influenced on specialities from the North such as creamed sweet corn and honey chicken. The wine list also comes all the way from Cafayate. For a night of hearty food without any affectation this authentic Argentinian restaurant will surely satisfy home-sick bellies.
Open from 8pm-midnight, Thur- Sat.
